Does radiology cause HAIR-LOSS like chemotherapy?

yes, radiotherapy can cause hair loss, but its not like chemotherapy.

radiotherapy only causes hair loss in the areas where the radiation enters and leaves the body

chemotherapy can cause you to lose your hair from all over the body regardless of where the cancer is affecting youDoes radiology cause HAIR-LOSS like chemotherapy?
Yes, sometimes you lose body hair - near wherever the site is that is getting zapped.

What is more of a problem is 'burns', and I was horrified to hear of a friend being treated at Charing Cross Hospital - one of the top London hospitals - being told that they couldn't help him with these.

As someone who writes about skin conditions, I would suggest a very pure Aloe Vera gel. Rub this on the site getting radiotherapy four times a day - and I didn't have any burns. (I was advised to do this by hospital treating me)

If you go to www.after-cancer.com there is more information about this.

Radiotherapy would cause hair loss where exposed. If your skull is exposed, scalp hair would fall. Just plain xrays would not cause hair loss.
Radiotherapy only causes loss of hair to the area the radiation is exposed to.
